About the Greater Orlando Alumnae Chapter

The Greater Orlando Alumnae chapter was chartered on February 14, 1936. In 1973, the chapter established the Belle Brooks scholarship award, which is awarded to the chapter having the highest scholastic average. It was later amended so that it was awarded to a senior from a Florida chapter that posted the highest cumulative GPA within her chapter at one of Florida’s many colleges and universities. It is currently awarded to the girl from our local collegiate chapters with the highest GPA. The Greater Orlando Alumnae Chapter are members of Orlando City Panhellenic and three of our members Bette Grason, Cindy Helton, and Gwyn Mercer have served as president of this organization.
